Premise

I thought I would start this site with this premise. That writing can be inspired, fun and profitable both on and off the web. It is important that we all get encouraged by one another's efforts.  Perhaps we feel it is sometimes hard to embark on a project: be it a novel, a poem, an ebook, some sales copy or an article. I find that the best way to accomplish something on paper is to simply free associate for an hour. Then peruse the page for a starting point for whatever I am trying to compose. Sometimes I am lucky; the whole thing just seems to write itself without having to use any writer’s ‘tricks’. Writing for me has never been a chore; but always an adventure.

I hope you will come on this journey with me and try some of the suggestions I offer to you. I also hope you take some of the gifts I wish to give you, both tangible and non tangible. I will endeavor to give you fresh and original ideas as much as possible; as well as sharing with you some of the old stock and trade. I am on this adventure with you not only as writer but also a spectator and reader. I will give you quotes from time to time from some of my favorite authors to help you remember that all of us are human. A good whimsical quote for now is by Agatha Christie, the mystery writer; ” the best time to plan a book is while your are doing the dishes.” I am inclined to agree with Ms. Christie.

The printed word can be both powerful and thought provoking but my main objective in writing is much less intellectual than either of those. My main thrust has always been to strike the human chord. Put the reader in a position where they see the humanity in themselves and others. One can not help but put their own ideas and personality into their writing and that is a good thing.  If I can touch just one person. Perhaps be able to let them see a segment of the rest of humanities’ path and bring out a little healthy empathy; then I have succeeded in my quest.
